Collingwood provides a unique offer in the way that Media is taught. The emphasis is on creativity, design and practical production of artefacts, using facilities not available in other schools and similar/the same to that used by a professional outfit. We begin by establishing key conventions and features of media products, then move rapidly into the creative phase.
The examples which you can see below are TV adverts for soft drinks devised by our students. They have designed logos and packaging, storyboarded the adverts, then filmed and edited them using industry-standard equipment and software. As you can see, our young people are showing real-world skills which will improve their employment prospects, as well as bringing them great enjoyment.
